When you are ready to add a new member to your family please don't buy, ADOPT!!! So many healthy, happy animals are put to sleep because they do not have homes. Here are just a fraction of the breed rescue groups in our area, please check them out before buying a purebred animal.
If you are looking for a small dog, breeding unimportant, check out the purebred rescues below. Most of the time there are mixes available on the purebred sites and you will be saving and loving someone who does not have a home of their own.
If the breed you are looking for is not listed below, you can search the web by entering in the specific breed name (spelled correctly) and "rescue carolina". If you do not get results, you may want to try without "carolina" on the end then sift through until you find a national rescue. You can also contact an out of state rescue to see if they know anyone around here who does rescue. If you know of a rescue group that is not listed below please email with the website address and it can be added.
We have worked with a few of these rescue groups only. We cannot take responsibility for any problems you have with them. We are trying to do a service and list rescues in the Carolinas to help needy pets find forever homes. Good Luck!!
